One of the Prosperous sent this through from the Bay area.
I’m still amazed and inspired by the creativity that comes out of the the inner city- these artists are in East Oakland and makes me a little home sick (Stand Up Detroit).
I’ve been contemplating layers and the relationship between things physical and metaphysical, other dimensions and what not. How do each effect our appearance or our perception? or our preference?
And you thought Tarantino’s poster designs couldn’t possibly get better. Okay maybe not, but these limited edition tribute posters by Ibraheem Youssef are damn close. Pure poetic graphic design.
Someone listened when I said I’ve been recently fascinated with all things furry(insert joke here). This was sent our way and not only is it cool looking, its also functional.
Not recommending that you roll into an interview with you portfolio stored on a fuzzy USB…wait… By all means roll up to an interview with you portfolio stored on this you will definitely make an impression (or really creep someone out). Just make sure your work is of equal or greater caliber than this storage/fashion accessory.
Check out the rest of the photos of MAGNHILD DISINGTONS Furry Objects. Very cool.
CP has to thank Allison Glenn for this one. Go create something.
You are invited to participate in “The Power of Self” an international competition celebrating the vitality of self portraiture. A panel of judges including actor Steve Buscemi, director Chris Weitz, Guggenheim curator Helen Hsu and Flavorpill founder Sascha Lewis will award one artist a package of incredible prizes including six months of free living at The Edge in New York City or $7007 in cash. The most popular portfolio as voted by the public will also receive $1,000 cash. Your images have power. Now is your moment to reveal them to the world.
Ok, shout out to Pamela for sharing this with the Prosperous. I’ve watched it like 6 times today. Directed by Kahlil Joseph, this video/movie for Shabazz Palaces is a beautiful dreamworld inside the dreamworld known as Watts, CA(pay attention to your dreams). Before this I was not up on Shabazz Palaces but certainly familiar with the dude on the mic- Butterfly from Digable Planets. If you don’t get inspired by this…well…open your eye and watch it again.
Some of you may still be recovering from a broken neck from the first time you saw these… Maharam and Nike’s first collaboration, the 1WORLD Air Force 1 incorporating a fabric from Dutch designer Hella Jongeriusâ.
Well they’re back at it with these. Click on the photo to take you to the original post.
