Another jewel for the Prosperous sent by Fresh over at Fashion Hurts. The collabo with Good Wood is a good look. Here is what he had to say about the new peice:
“We are always looking for hot and interesting ways to promote the line. And Good Wood NYC has been an option for a while now. We were just waiting for the right time and the right design to be produced. Good Wood is an ill custom wood jewelry company based in Brookyn. If you are not familiar with them, you might be familiar with their work, Jay-Z wore their famous black Jesus piece on the cover of the XXL magazine last year. Since we have been running with our new mascot (bull-monopoly man), we decided that would be the best design to use. And voilà …the chain might came out dope! Details are on point. Right now we haven’t decided if we are going to sell the bull chain, but you will be seeing it future photoshoots. And we are also going to get more pieces done, like some FH letters and a huge bull’s head.”
Someone listened when I said I’ve been recently fascinated with all things furry(insert joke here). This was sent our way and not only is it cool looking, its also functional.
Not recommending that you roll into an interview with you portfolio stored on a fuzzy USB…wait… By all means roll up to an interview with you portfolio stored on this you will definitely make an impression (or really creep someone out). Just make sure your work is of equal or greater caliber than this storage/fashion accessory.
Check out the rest of the photos of MAGNHILD DISINGTONS Furry Objects. Very cool.
Some of you may still be recovering from a broken neck from the first time you saw these… Maharam and Nike’s first collaboration, the 1WORLD Air Force 1 incorporating a fabric from Dutch designer Hella Jongeriusâ.
Well they’re back at it with these. Click on the photo to take you to the original post.
If you are a half dead Zombie lobbying for your next meal or just a N.O.R.E. fan (”getting brain in the whip and not crashing it”) you need this Tshirt.
So was In Harajuku looking all over for a tee the said Tokyo on the front. The only thing coming up ironically were shirts that said New York. Then I roll up on the Carhartt street-wear store- I’m familiar with the work-wear brand(the rugged gear made in Detroit) so I was anxious to see their take on Street. Every other shirt had a reference to Detroit and especially reference to the electronic music scene(you can imagine my excitement). So I start talking to the store worker who speaks English and he informs me that the store just opened up and they have another store in Munich, Germany. I’m like WTF! all of this gear exploiting the D and you don’t even sell this shit in the city you rep. This is some bullshit. Motown records all over again. “Let’s exploit the name, the game, and culture and do it from long distance.” Suckas.
Being from Detroit this didn’t sit well with me because it is history repeating itself and its all too painful. My job is to bring you the flyness and this apparel is definitely fly and I love what they are doing with urban artist, so go to the site and cop a few Detroit tees. But a note to Carhartt and its decision makers, remember your roots and give back to the city that helped build you.
